Understand the transition between launch mechanics and pool trading without relying on stale thresholds.
The trading mechanism matters
Some launch platforms initially price tokens using a bonding-curve mechanism. The quoted price changes according to the platform rules and accumulated activity. This is not identical to trading against a conventional liquidity pool. A launch can be tradable before familiar analytics tools have complete coverage, so an empty chart does not establish that no trading occurred.
Migration changes the research context
A migration can move trading into a different venue or pool structure. The relevant pair address, available liquidity, fees, and execution path may change. Keep token identity stable while separately tracking the market used for each observation. Do not splice prices from unrelated venues into a seamless historical candle series without explaining the methodology.
Use the current platform rules
Graduation thresholds, fee arrangements, creator incentives, and supported launch modes can change. Read the official interface and documentation at the time of research rather than copying a historical percentage from a video. Migration is not proof of safety, distributed ownership, durable demand, or executable exits. A launch-stage strategy and a post-migration strategy deserve separate tests.

A worked research example
A scanner begins tracking a new pool at noon. The token may have traded on a curve earlier that morning. Label noon as the observed pair creation time, not the token birth time. If your strategy requires launches less than one hour old, pool age alone is insufficient evidence.
